Aberdare National Park
Aberdare National Park offers a unique safari experience unlike Kenya’s lowland plains. Set in the central highlands, it features dense forests, cascading waterfalls, and misty moorlands. The park is home to elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, hyenas, and rare species such as black rhinos, black leopards, and the elusive bongo antelope. Rich in both wildlife and history, Aberdare also served as a refuge for Mau Mau fighters during Kenya’s struggle for independence.
Samburu National Reserve is a captivating wilderness in northern Kenya, known for its stunning riverbank landscapes and exceptional wildlife. Here, you can spot big cats, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and zebras, along with unique northern species such as the gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx, and reticulated giraffe. With nearly 400 bird species, Samburu is a paradise for bird lovers and a perfect destination for those seeking a truly wild and authentic safari experience.
